How Should I Deal with Epson Won’t Print Black Without Color Ink?

Some printer devices stop working if one of the ink cartridges gets empty. You may not be able to print a document even if you have a full black ink cartridge. In such a case, you need to force print in black and white or try some other workaround to print in black and white using Epson printer. If you wish to get rid of the Epson won’t print black without color Ink problem, then follow the steps mentioned below:

  • First of all, cancel the print job. Select Stop or Cancel when you see Epson Printer Monitor on your screen.
  • Load sheets in your input tray.
  • After that, select the File option.
  • Choose Preference or Properties option.
  • Now, choose Main.
  • After that, choose “Appropriate Quality Option” settings.
  • Then, select Envelope as the “Type Setting”
  • Go to Print Options and check the “Grayscale” checkbox.

After performing all these steps, you need to test print a document to check if your printer is printing with black ink or not. If this solution doesn’t help you, then you have to force print your document in black and white.
